Lisa hit the ground running with the team. She quickly entered the Work Breakdown Structure we had created to develop the initial MS Project spreadsheet. This enabled us to have an early picture of what the estimates meant and where we could have to adjust.
She was able to manage the critical path of the project on a week-to-week basis. The software gave her the ability view various critical path scenarios when other work impacted the team members abilities to address this project.
She conducted weekly status meetings. She was supportive and always had a positive outlook. She was not afraid to bring realism into the conversations.
All of this support allowed the team to focus on the project tasks and not the management of the project.
